Many of my cane chairs that I redid a decade ago have sagged, and so I decided to re-cane one of them to see how it went. Much to my annoyance the cane that I am using is continually breaking mid "row" when I am weaving. No doubt I am doing something incorrect, and I would really appreciate any advice?

I am currently trying to replace the cane back of a chair that has many curves. It used to be "hand done", but now is routed out and needs mesh instead. My problem is that it's quite difficult to achieve a nice and tight finish - instead I am getting looseness in several areas. Any advice would be welcome!
